What it is

Icha Icha Steady is a paid adventure game for Windows, developed by Marmalade and published by Shiravune. The Nutaku store lists it under the Adventure genre with the tags Anime, Big Breasts and Cute. It is a slice-of-life romance: the premise is not a quest or a rescue but a couple's daily life, with a heroine who is affectionate toward the player.

The publisher's description opens with the line "It's been a few months since you got with Yuu Omaezaki. Your life together has been steady and sweet." That is most of the pitch. A reader who wants a calm, low-conflict, voiced romance with an anime look will know from this whether it is for them, and a reader after combat, management or a branching mystery will know it is not.

How it plays

The player is one half of a couple. The Nutaku summary frames the scene in second person: the player's life with the heroine has been steady and sweet, and she tempts the player with a honeyed voice. The text quotes her asking for a kiss "just a lover's hello" and then offering more than a kiss. The more the player gets to know her, the pages say, the more there is to love. The line "No drama here, that's all over and done with. This is a little slice of bliss" sets the expectations for the story: the relationship has already survived its turbulent part and the game is about the comfortable part afterward.

The heroine is Yuu Omaezaki. MangaGamer's page describes her as the player's lover and fiancee as well as cohabitant, and says everybody thinks she is a cool beauty while she is really a pampering, motherly type who has lately refined her wiles to a dangerous degree. That single character description is the center of the game as the pages present it. The pages name a single heroine, so this is a game about a single relationship, not a roster of options.

The pages are light on mechanics. The genre label on Nutaku and on the publisher's site is Adventure, MangaGamer files the game in its Moege section, and its category set reads Animation, Romance, Slice of Life and Big Boobs. Together those labels describe a story-driven title in which the player reads, listens and moves through scenes with a single character. The stores do not state how many scenes or chapters it has.

Voice is a notable feature. The Shiravune page lists full voice in Japanese, and MangaGamer says the game is voiced except for the main character, so the player's own lines are not spoken. Text is available in several languages: Nutaku lists Japanese, English and Chinese (Simplified), while the Shiravune page lists English, Japanese and Traditional Chinese for its text languages. Nutaku and the publisher word the Chinese option differently, and MangaGamer's categories add Japanese Support and Chinese Support for its edition.

The Shiravune page also names a franchise, Study § Steady, and MangaGamer's own description calls Icha Icha Steady an afterstory of that game: after getting together with Yuu Omaezaki, it says, life has been tranquil, with no drama, just romance and bliss as the connection grows. So the heroine's relationship with the player is already established when this game begins, and the earlier title is where the couple got together.

Content and themes

The content is romantic and sexual content centered on a couple, and the framing is domestic: a fiancee and cohabitant who is affectionate, teasing and caring. The tags Nutaku gives are Anime, Big Breasts and Cute. MangaGamer lists the categories Animation, Romance and Slice of Life alongside Big Boobs. The art is an anime style, and the MangaGamer page gives the game a "Rating with Mosaics", a label that points to mosaic censoring in the version it sells. Nutaku's page does not state whether the Nutaku version is censored.

No tags for violence, horror or other dark themes appear on the pages. The tone the pages describe is sweet and low-drama, and the heroine is the player's fiancee in an established relationship. It is a Japanese adult visual novel in the plain sense: Marmalade is the developer, the voice track is Japanese, Japanese is one of the text options, and the publisher describes its own work as translating Japanese visual novels into English and Chinese.

Platforms and where to get it

The game is for Windows. The Nutaku page says Available On Windows Desktop, and MangaGamer lists the platform as Windows 8, 10 and 11.

The game is sold on Nutaku and on MangaGamer, where the product is titled Icha Icha Steady (download). Shiravune, the publisher, has its own product page for it, which carries the description, the language lists and the dates but no buy button or price. MangaGamer's page shows an age check asking for a date of birth.

Nutaku's system requirements for Windows are Windows 8.1 or 10, a Core2Duo 2.66GHz CPU or higher, 2GB of memory, PCM sound, and a 1920x1080 display or higher, with a note that characters may appear smaller at lower resolutions. The pages do not mention a Mac, Linux or Android version.

Price and model

The durable fact is that this is a paid game sold as a single purchase, with no free-to-play model and no subscription on the pages. As of October 2026 the Nutaku page shows a price of $14.99, with an unlabeled 1,499 printed beside it. MangaGamer's page lists $14.95 for its download edition and states that the game went on sale there on August 16, 2023. Each store sets its own price.

The pages mention no DLC, in-game currency or demo. The difference a buyer can see between the editions is in the details each store prints: MangaGamer states the mosaics rating, the Windows versions and the voicing, while Nutaku states the text languages, the download size and the hardware requirements.

Development state and version

As read in October 2026, the Shiravune page gives a release date of 17 Jun, 2022 and an update date of 2022.10.14, and the pages describe a released product without any mention of early access. Nutaku's game information for its edition reads version 1 with a 1.45 gb download, and gives no release date of its own. The pages do not mention a roadmap or a sequel.

Who it suits

It suits an adult who wants a story-light romance with a single voiced heroine, an anime style and a cozy tone, and who is happy to buy a Windows download for a single payment. The Japanese voice with English text suits a reader who likes to hear the original performance.

The caveats are straightforward. It is Windows-only and has no stated Android or Mac build, so it does not suit a phone or a Mac. It has no stated branching, mystery or management layer, so a reader who wants choices and consequences may find it too gentle. The player character is not voiced. And the MangaGamer edition carries the mosaics rating, which is relevant to a reader who prefers uncensored scenes.
