What the game is
3DXChat is a multiplayer 3D adult virtual world for Windows PCs, run by 3DXChat Inc. Its own site calls it a 3D social experience created exclusively for adults, and its header describes it as a multiplayer 3D sex game and adult virtual world. Members build a customizable avatar, explore virtual worlds and meet other real people to chat, date and roleplay. It is paid by membership rather than free to play, though the site offers a short free trial account. A reader who wants a single-player story with a fixed plot will not find one here; this is a social space built around other players.
How it plays
The site describes the game as a place to choose who you want to be and how you want to connect, with a customizable avatar as the starting point and virtual worlds to explore. Chatting, dating and roleplay with other members are the activities it names, along with private interactive experiences between members. Everything runs through other people, so how a session goes depends on who is online and what they want to do.
Building is the other named activity. The site's World Editor trailer page describes an editor for making worlds, locations, clubs, islands and penthouses and sharing those locations with other players, and it says players create new worlds every day. That is the developer's claim, and it explains why the home page speaks of virtual worlds in the plural: much of the space members meet in is made by other members.
Avatar creation is a large part of it. As of October 2026 the support pages mention that a character's name and gender can be changed after creation, and that the change costs 20,000 xgold, which the page treats as a charge deducted from the account, with a single charge covering both changes together. Xgold is the in-game currency that charge is taken in. The update posts add detail on how the avatar system has grown. A June 2025 feature, the Partial Avatar Loader, lets a player load only parts of an avatar, such as hair or clothes, from a saved avatar file without replacing the whole character, so a personal library of looks can be kept on the PC. A July 2025 content drop added poses, hairstyles, tights and outfits, remastered several classic clothes with a new material system for richer detail and better customization, and introduced new gifts that players can give one another.
Players log in to the game with a game account, and the site keeps a separate Members Area for billing. The support page states plainly that the control panel login for that area is not the same as the game login. A patcher program updates the game client, and the support pages walk through running the patcher and game as administrator and adding them to antivirus and firewall exception lists when updates or connections fail. The game connects to the developer's servers over the internet, so a broadband connection is part of the stated requirements. The site also runs a forum and a Discord server.
Content and themes
3DXChat is an adults-only game, marked 18+ only on its home page, and its themes are social and sexual interaction between avatars controlled by real members. The page frames the game around freedom, creativity and intimacy, and the update posts name sex poses among the content drops. The game uses 3D avatars rather than anime art or 2D illustration. The pages describe optional hardware extras. The first is support for Lovense toys, through a partnership the site announces, so a player can connect a device and use it with other players in real time. The second is virtual reality support with the Oculus Rift CV1, which the site lists on its VR page. Since the other participants are real members, what happens in a given session is up to them within the site's terms. The footer links a Terms of Use page and a 2257 notice.
Platforms and where to get it
The pages name one platform, Windows. The stated minimum is Windows 10 or 11 in a 64-bit edition, an Intel Core i3 or AMD Phenom II X4 processor or better, a video card with 2 GB or more that is DirectX 11 compatible with Pixel Shader 5.0 support, 4 GB of RAM, a broadband connection and 10 GB of free storage. The support page adds that netbooks and old laptops are not supported. The pages name no browser version and no phone version. The client is downloaded from the developer's own site, 3dxchat.com, and the same site hosts the account pages. For a client that will not start, the support page lists DirectX, current video drivers and Microsoft runtime packages to install first. The site also describes a Game-Time Code that can create a new account or renew an existing one.
Price and model
The model is a recurring membership. The support pages say a subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled, that plans come in monthly, semi-annual and annual lengths, and that members switch plans in the Members Area and then cancel the old one. Billing is handled by a payment service named BMT Micro, and customers in the European Union are charged VAT on top of the price. The support page also says PayPal does not permit the sale of adult digital goods, and points members who want another payment method to a Game-Time Code, which can also be bought for a friend and activated on the site. Canceling the automatic renewal leaves the account playable until it expires, and the support form has a subject line for refund requests.
As of October 2026 the join page tells visitors that the developer is updating its payment system and working to restore purchases as soon as possible, with purchases temporarily unavailable. It offers a crypto purchase option while card payments are being updated. The pages do not give a membership price. The site also offers a free 14-day account through a short sign-up form with an email address and password.
Development state and version
The game has been developed for a long time; the site's copyright line runs from 2012 to 2026. In October 2026 the updates page lists 3DXChat 3.3 as its newest announcement, dated October 30, 2025, and describes it as bringing new features, visual upgrades and fixes. The full patch notes sit behind the developer's Discord server, which a reader has to join first. The same page lists the content drop of July 9, 2025 and the Partial Avatar Loader of June 19, 2025, and its update archive runs to several pages.
Who it suits
3DXChat suits an adult on a Windows PC who wants an online social space with avatar customization and who is happy to meet other members, not follow a scripted story. Someone who likes adjusting an avatar's clothes and hair piece by piece will find the update history aimed at them, and a player who owns a supported VR headset or a connected toy has options others do not. The limits are practical. It needs a paid membership after the trial, purchases were paused for a payment-system update in October 2026, patch notes require Discord, and the stated requirements rule out netbooks, older laptops and every platform other than Windows.
