What Champion of Realms is

Champion of Realms is a free adult visual novel and sandbox set in a fantasy world, made by the developer who goes by Zimon and still in development. The game's own site describes it as "a free adult visual novel game/sandbox with fantasy traits in development," and it runs on Windows, Linux, Mac and Android. The player follows a male protagonist through a survival contest and builds relationships with a growing cast of women, so it is a harem-style game with a strong event-collecting streak. Public builds cost nothing, and the developer funds the work through a Patreon whose supporters get each build a few days ahead.

How it plays

The story opens on a mythic premise. According to the site, the ancient gods of a world born of chaos divided their lines across three temporal dimensions to avoid an apocalyptic conflict, and entrusted the survival of all three to one being, the Champion. For eons the Champion watched over the dimensions, and then vanished without a trace. The protagonist is forced, despite his best efforts, into a deadly competition to decide the future Champion, and the fates of all ride on the result. He is not alone: the site says several allies forge the path beside him.

In play, this is a visual novel wrapped around a sandbox. The site advertises more than 200 story and hidden events for getting to know the girls and the world around them, and it says dozens of repeatable events let the player spend time with each girl in different ways, some lewd and some not. It lists 12 main girls plus side girls, with more promised. Every girl is described as having a distinct design and personality. As of October 2026 the news page carries a post for version 0.73 saying that build ushered in an improvement to the sandbox part of the game, with decorations that change parts of the player's room, some of them bought from in-game shops, and a quick way to get hints from the girls.

The What's New and news pages show how much of the game is made of small systems layered on top of the story. Patch notes name a fishing minigame in the forest pond, a trophy zone with fan art and trophies to buy, an event tracker that reveals each girl gradually as she is unlocked, a gallery that includes repeatable scenes, a TV in the living room, a restaurant where choosing the menu with alcohol can trigger a scene, a special Sunday mode of quick events, alarm clocks for individual characters, and hugs for the girls. Each character has a card with notes on her hobbies and likes and a changeable background. New places arrive with updates too: one set of notes adds a costume shop, a ranch and a farmer's store, and others add story events with their own titles for named characters. Secret codes exist, entered in a room called the chamber, but the FAQ says there are no cheat codes. That mix suits a player who likes to wander, trigger events and fill out a tracker more than follow a single straight line.

The site does not state a play time or an ending count. Saves carry over to a new version, according to the FAQ, though some really old saves may need the persistent file deleted. The game is built with Ren'Py, and the FAQ lists where saves are kept on Windows, Mac OS, Linux and Android.

Content and themes

The theme is fantasy first, with a harem structure. The home page files its adult content under the heading "Many Different Fetishes," and the list there includes Harem, Monster Girl, Milf, Teasing and Voyeurism among others, before ending on "NO NTR." Harem and Monster Girl are the two tags that describe the cast as a whole: one man, many women, some of them not human. The Milf tag covers the mature women in it. The home page also promotes powerful girls, new abilities to master and the goal of becoming the Champion, so the contest in the premise runs beside the romance.

The FAQ adds two useful boundaries. It says plainly that the game is not censored. It also says there are no pregnancy events in the game for now, that they are planned content for future builds, and that there is no date for them. The art is rendered: patch notes speak of new renders and changed animations for individual characters, and one set of notes adds voice to a character's scenes under the heading "Voiced Girls." The site opens with a prompt asking visitors to confirm they are 18 or over.

Platforms and where to get it

The home page says "Works on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android," and the developer's own site has a Download section. The game also has an itch.io page and a Patreon, both named in the site's patch notes and FAQ. The FAQ says the links for supporter builds and public builds are published on Patreon first.

The FAQ describes three kinds of PC package. A compressed version is much smaller in file size, an uncompressed version has higher visual fidelity, and a launcher version is the uncompressed one with the ability to update by downloading only new or changed files. All content and saves are the same across them. The launcher is PC only. On Windows, Mac and Linux, save files persist between versions, so an old version can be deleted without a backup. For upgrade steps the FAQ sends players to the game's own wiki.

For Android, only the compressed version is available because of the game's size. The FAQ suggests backing up the whole saves folder before updating or uninstalling, and a clean install if the app will not install, which it says fixes 95% of install issues. In October 2026 the news page says that as of the update numbered 0.77, Android APKs became more complicated than a simple install, because a limit in Android signature V2 stops Ren'Py from creating apps larger than 2gb and the game has passed that size even with compression. The news summary says the developer has two methods for players to continue and leaves the details to the full post.

Price and model

The durable model is free with optional support. The site calls the game free, public builds are published for everyone, and the FAQ says that anyone wishing to support the game with money can do so through the Patreon. It lists free ways to help too, such as rating and following the game on itch.io, leaving feedback on the Discord and sharing the game with friends. Patreon charges when a person first pledges and then on the first of every month, and the FAQ says pledges can be canceled, reduced or increased at any time, though that may cost certain rewards. Rewards depend on the pledge level and include Patreon exclusive content, and pledges that carry the early build as a reward get it before the public.

The pages give no tier names and no prices for the Patreon.

Development state

Champion of Realms is unfinished and says so. In October 2026 the developer's FAQ states that Zimon releases a new build at the end of every month for Patreon members with Early Access, with the public release of that build 5 days after. The news page names update 0.77 in its newest post, above a run of earlier public release posts and a post greeting 2023 with a new content schedule. The FAQ adds one plan for delivery: making the early builds available through the launcher as well.

The What's New page documents older builds in detail. Its notes show the interface gaining French and German, and Spanish and Italian arriving as partial support with the interface still incomplete but the dialogues working. The same notes look ahead to a big update focused only on the story, the main plot and the girls, and mention the developer's rest months.

Who it suits

This fits a player who wants a free, long-running fantasy harem game with a lot of repeatable events, a tracker to fill and a phone version. It also fits someone who is happy to follow a monthly build cycle and does not need a finished story. Mac and Linux players are covered by the same builds as Windows, with save locations given for each.

The caveats are plain. The story is unfinished, a large part of the structure depends on events a player has to hunt down, and the Android build is more fiddly than a normal install because of the size limit. Pregnancy content is absent, translations are partial, and a reader who wants a fixed price, a defined length or a complete game is looking at the wrong kind of project.
