What slime feet is

slime feet is a linear adult visual novel by nadia nova, written for a game jam and played directly in a web browser. The developer's page puts it plainly: "slime feet is a linear visual novel. there are no choices. you can not change the outcome. you can only watch." This is a story to read, not a game to steer, and it is aimed at an adult audience that is comfortable with body horror, a foot fetish theme and sexual content between two women.

The game runs in the browser from the developer's own site, so there is nothing to install. It is free to play. In October 2026 the developer's games page says the releases that used to sit on itch.io have been made free, with a Patreon link for anyone who wants to support the work.

How it plays

The page describes a setting first. The Amoninsula Research Facility is a bunker in the sub-zero Arctic where scientists study and contain "Hazards", which the page describes as anomalies that defy the laws of physics and common sense. After a run of bad luck, a researcher named Estelle Mcclendon meets one. She becomes a "Host" for "Miasma", described as an amorphous floating cloud that seeks to subsume living organisms. The page explains that Miasma spreads through a Host's body, wearing down bone and tissue until the weakened organs can no longer keep a person alive, and that no cure is known.

From there the story narrows to two people. Estelle spends what remains of her life exchanging messages with her closest coworker, Abbi. According to the page, the two of them do their best to feel close by being perverts together while looking straight at the slow decline toward death. So the structure is a long distance relationship carried out through messages, set against a fatal illness, and the reader follows it from start to finish without ever making a decision.

Because there are no choices, there are no routes, no endings to chase and no stat management. The player's job is to click through the text. The in-game screen describes a small set of controls: click to continue, with spacebar and enter also working, holding space or enter to move forward fast, and the A key for automode. The settings cover music volume, sound effect volume, autoplay speed and the length of the history log. A history button sits beside auto, settings and reset, and a prompt asks whether you are sure you want to clear your save, so the game keeps both a save and a log of what has already been read. The two volume sliders also say something about the presentation: the story is accompanied by music and sound effects.

The developer gives a list of what the story is about, each line opening with the game's own title. Those lines name an in-depth emotional exploration and reflection on long distance relationships, disability and illness; finding intimacy and lesbian sexual connection even in front of the macabre; foot fetish prevailing even when favorite feet are turning into slime; body horror; an inevitable, drawn out death; and a closing line about the reader knowing they are loved. The synopsis and that list between them cover the whole arc, from the accident to the ending the developer calls inevitable, so the page hides nothing about where the story goes.

Content and themes

The developer's wording is blunt and the content follows it. The page lists body horror, extravagant foot fetishism and what it calls sloppy messy lesbian cybersex among the things the game is about. It also says a certain slur is "thrown around like candy", and the in-game title screen opens with a message addressed to people who use that word about themselves. Readers who find that language hard should know it is part of the tone from the first screen.

The lesbian and yuri angle is central rather than a side tag. The relationship between the two is the whole story, and the page calls the game's theme lesbian sexual connection. Disability and illness are treated as the emotional core, not decoration. The developer's wider games page describes the body of work as living in heavy themes such as mental illness, abuse, the lack of consent and abandonment issues, and the site's front page warns that adult material can appear anywhere on it. The developer's own short label for the game on that list files it under cybersex, which fits the synopsis: the two women are apart, and what passes between them passes in messages.

The text of the page and the in-game screen is in English, in the developer's lowercase, informal voice.

Platforms and where to get it

The game is a browser game. The developer's page for it ends with a link labeled "click here to play in browser", which opens the playable build on the same site. The playable page loads the game itself, with its own title screen and controls, on the developer's domain. The pages name no Windows, Mac, Linux or Android build, and no download or account comes into it.

The developer's own site, hosted on Neocities, is the place the page points to. The games page lists the title alongside the developer's other visual novels, under the year 2024, and explains why the work lives there: the developer began self hosting releases on this site. The browser link on the game's own page is the way to play that the developer gives.

Price and model

The model is free, with optional support. In October 2026 the developer's games page says the developer can no longer accept donations or purchases through itch.io, so everything there has been made free, and it directs anyone who wants to help to Patreon. The same page says that after some games were judged too evil for itch.io, the developer began self hosting releases on the Neocities site. The slime feet page itself shows no price, no paywall and no ad, only the browser link.

The pages do not name any Patreon tier, price or reward. The whole story is open from the browser link, start to finish.

Development state

The slime feet page states that it was made for the Videotome Jam on the theme "Waiting" and for Yuri Game Jam 2024. In October 2026 the developer's games page lists it under 2024, between the developer's releases of the years before and after. What the page describes is a whole story with a fixed outcome, playable from its browser link. The page gives no version number and names no planned changes. The developer has kept releasing since, and the site's home page carries blog posts into 2026.

Who it suits

This suits a reader who wants a free, browser-based story about intimacy under a death sentence and who is at ease with explicit lesbian content, body horror and a foot fetish theme. It also suits someone who prefers to read a fixed narrative rather than chase branches and endings.

It is a poor fit for anyone who wants choices, systems, replay value or a long game, since the developer says there are no choices and the outcome cannot change. The strong language, the horror and the heavy subject of terminal illness are real caveats, and the pages offer no content filter or option to tone anything down. The developer's pages are also short on practical detail: play time and art style are left for the reader to find out by opening the game.
