What A Maiden Astrologer Divines the Future is
A Maiden Astrologer Divines the Future is a visual novel by Rosetta and iMel, published by Medibang Inc according to its Nutaku page. Its Nutaku summary opens by calling it a visual novel game with no choice, so the player reads one fixed story and does not steer it. The lead is a woman, the tags include Yuri and Romance, and the game is a paid download for Windows, sold through Nutaku, MangaGamer and GOG and, according to the developer's own patch page, on Steam.
A reader who wants a quiet, story-led adult game with a female protagonist, a Yuri tag and a fortune-telling setting will find the pitch clear. Someone who wants to make decisions, manage anything or branch into different endings will not find that here, since the page says there is no choice.
How it plays
The main character is Izumi Mizushiro, a maiden astrologer. The page says she lives with her sister Towa, and that she reads fortunes for clients in a corner of a coffee shop. She finds the work worthwhile when she is making someone happy or supporting someone, even in small ways, and clients leave their seat with a smile. The MangaGamer character page adds that she lives in an apartment above the coffee shop with her sister and her cat Aru, that she is calm and a good listener, and that she learned Western astrology and physiognomy from her grandmother before teaching herself tarot reading. It also says she is not good at love fortune-telling.
The trouble starts when an overwhelming increase in requests for her readings brings problems with her methods and her reputation. While Izumi and the people around her look for the cause, a visitor named Maki arrives. From that visit a series of unexpected events begins and the peaceful daily life of the household takes a turn. The page describes the story as running toward the future foretold by the stars and the maiden, and says the characters experience both new encounters and farewells.
The player's part is to read. The Nutaku page states there is no choice, calls the work an adventure game and lists the tag Drama beside Adventure, Cute, Romance and Female Protagonist. GOG, for its part, files the game under Role-playing, Narrative and Visual Novel. None of the pages gives a length in hours.
Nutaku's key features list 3 points in the developer's words: completely uncensored scenes, fully voiced characters and no DRM. MangaGamer's page lists the voice as partially voiced, so the two stores do not describe the voice work in the same way, and a buyer who cares about full voicing should check the store they intend to use. The Nutaku page gives Japanese and English as languages.
Content and themes
Nutaku's tags are Adventure, Anime, Cute, Drama, DRM Free, Female Protagonist, Hentai, Romance, Uncensored and Yuri. The genre is Visual Novel. Plainly put, this is an anime-styled romance and drama with adult scenes and a Yuri tag, built around a fortune-telling job and a shared household.
Adult content arrives in two ways according to the pages. The Nutaku store version is described as having completely uncensored scenes, and MangaGamer rates its version Without Mosaics. The developer's own patch page, for the Steam release, offers a free R-18 patch that adds CG and scenarios. After the patch is applied, the page says, R18 scenes of Izumi and "You" are added. "You" is not identified as a specific character in the work, and no pictures other than Izumi's appear in those scenes. The page also notes that saved data from before the patch can be used as is.
MangaGamer files the game in its Eroge section, and its category line includes Magic, Maid and Slice of Life, with Japanese support. Slice of life is the most useful of those words for setting expectations, since the story centers on a fortune-telling job and a household. GOG's tags are Role-playing, Visual Novel, Mature, Nudity, NSFW and Narrative.
Platforms and where to get it
The Nutaku page lists the game as available on Windows Desktop, with a download size of 739.83 mb. MangaGamer lists it for Windows 10 and Windows 11 as a download. GOG sells it DRM free as a Windows game, lists cloud saves and overlay among its features, offers English and Japanese audio and text, and says GOG Galaxy is optional. Its minimum requirements are Windows 10, 4 GB of RAM and 1 GB of storage. The developer's patch page speaks of purchasing the Steam-exclusive PC game, so Steam is another place where the base game is sold, and that page is the one that carries the R-18 patch download for Steam owners.
Rosetta's own site, read in October 2026, lists the game among its products with a Nintendo Switch release dated 2022.12.22 and a Steam release dated 2023.1.26. That makes the Switch version a separate release on a different platform. The site is in Japanese with an English option.
To apply the patch on Steam, the developer's page tells the owner to exit the game first, open the game's page from the Steam library, choose Browse Local Files and copy the downloaded file to the local folder. It warns that deleting the patch afterwards will stop the game working properly.
Price and model
Izumi's story is bought outright wherever it is sold, as a single download with no episodes sold separately. Rosetta hands out its R-18 patch to Steam owners free of charge.
The Nutaku buy button reads $11.99 in October 2026, and MangaGamer's price line that month reads $11.95. GOG sells it too, and states its price in the currency a buyer has set, out of CHF, EUR and USD. The pages do not give a price for the Steam release or the Switch release.
Development state and version
The Nutaku information block read in October 2026 gives version 1, a download size of 739.83 mb and a release date of June 13, 2023. MangaGamer shows an on-sale date of Feb 28, 2023. Rosetta's patch page says that once the patch is applied, the game's window title reads "Ver 1.0.0H", which is how a Steam owner confirms it took. Nothing on the pages calls the game unfinished or in early access, and no update schedule is given.
Who it suits
It suits a player who wants a calm, voiced story with a woman at its center, a Yuri tag and a magic-tinged everyday job, and who is content to read without making decisions.
The limits are clear. Because the page says there is no choice, there is nothing to replay for different outcomes. The two stores disagree on whether the voicing is full or partial. The languages are Japanese and English only. Steam buyers have to apply a separate patch to add the R18 scenes, and none of the stores says how long the story runs.
