What Negligee is

Negligee is an adult yuri visual novel made and published by Dharker Studio, set in a lingerie shop. The player follows a female protagonist named Hannah, who is suddenly promoted to manager of the shop and has to decide who joins her team. It is a choice-driven story with multiple routes and endings, and it is available for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux. It is a paid game, sold on Nutaku and available on Steam, with an adult patch on the developer's site for the Steam edition.

The studio describes itself on its home page as a video game designer, board game developer and comic book creator that focuses on suggestive and fun content, and it says it has produced over 40 games since 2012. Negligee is one of the titles it keeps a dedicated page and a patch for.

How it plays

The developer's page sets the scene in a small beachfront town. Hannah is thrust into the role of manager at a lingerie store called Negligee, and the shop's owner agrees to find her some women to join her. It is up to Hannah to decide who gets the vacancy that has opened up. The page says that making such decisions can be a tricky and fun process, and that Hannah must get to grips with running the store and its staff while making key decisions to ensure its success.

The Nutaku page tells the same story from another angle, under the line "An enticing novel of love and lace." After her previous manager suddenly leaves, Hannah is promoted into the manager's chair. In the office she finds pictures her predecessor left behind, which distract her, and she decides to hire shop assistants who can both help manage operations and help her realize her own desires. Her criteria for candidates are stated simply: gorgeous women who are happy to work in the shop's lingerie. As the number of assistants grows, her control is tested. The page says her fate depends entirely on the path the player takes through the choices offered in the story.

So the play is the classic visual novel loop. The player reads, makes choices at branching points and watches the staff grow, and each hiring decision is also a decision about which relationship the story follows. The developer's feature list describes multiple routes and choices that affect the ending, 11 alternate endings and 4 epilogues. It also lists an "ecchi and fun" well-written story, high-quality characters, backgrounds and CG scenes, a CG scene gallery with special events to unlock, multiple save slots and full visual novel functions, and a 1080p window with full screen options. A Memories room replays the animated scenes, and the developer's page counts 5 animated scenes. On Steam the game also has trading cards and achievements, according to the same list.

Everything the two pages describe is story: routes, choices, endings and a gallery to fill. The shop-running premise is the frame for those choices, and the features listed are the ones a visual novel reader expects, several save slots and replayable scenes among them. The language listed on Nutaku is English.

Content and themes

The core theme is yuri: the developer calls it a "Yuri visual novel game with adult content," and the Nutaku tags include Yuri, Shoujo Ai, Hentai, Lesbian and Females Only. The cast is a group of women, and the tag list adds Harem and Romance, so the structure is one protagonist and several love interests, with the choices deciding which relationships develop. Multiple Endings and Lingerie round out the tags, and the lingerie shop setting is the reason for that last one.

The protagonist is a woman and the whole game follows her point of view, so it also suits readers who look for female protagonist games. Nutaku calls it a hentai visual novel and tags it Hentai and Shoujo Ai, and the developer calls the story ecchi. The art is described in visual novel terms: both pages speak of characters, backgrounds and CG scenes, the developer's patch notes mention character sprites, and Nutaku's key features open with animated adult scenes.

The Steam version is partly censored. The developer's page says the full game on Steam is partially censored because of the requirements Steam makes on the games it publishes. An Adult Patch restores what the developer calls the full Negligee Adult Uncensored experience. According to the developer, the patch adds over 45 additional adult images, a new adult section of the CG gallery, extended dialogue in several places, 5 adult animated scenes, a new Memories area to replay animations, extended adult scenes in the epilogues and uncensored versions of images from the main game.

Platforms and where to get it

The Nutaku page lists the game as available on Linux, Windows desktop and Mac OSX, and it shows Dharker Studio as both publisher and developer. The developer's page points to the full version on Steam, and the studio's Game Patches page lists Negligee among its downloads, describing its patch as adding new scenes and events, further nudity and explicit descriptive language.

The patch is a download from the developer's site, with a primary and a secondary link. The page's instructions are short: the unzipped file named adultpatch.rpa goes into the game folder of the Steam installation, beside the file named main.rpa, and nothing is removed. When it works, the main menu says Uncensored version instead of Steam version. The patch is written for the Steam edition, and the pages do not say whether the Nutaku download is already uncensored.

Price and model

Negligee is a one-time purchase, with no subscription attached to it. The Nutaku page, read in October 2026, puts the game at $14.99 beside a Buy Game button. The developer's page gives no Steam price.

The adult patch is a separate download from the developer's site, offered through a link on the game's page. The page gives its file size as 138mb. The Steam extras named by the developer, trading cards and achievements, belong to that edition and are part of the game as bought there.

Development state

Negligee is a released game. In October 2026 the Nutaku page lists Version 4, a download size of 435.84 mb and a release date of January 14, 2017. The developer's page speaks of "the full game" and describes a complete set of routes, endings and epilogues, with the adult patch as the one addition offered on top. Neither page mentions an update after the 2017 release date.

Who it suits

This suits a reader who wants a choice-based yuri visual novel with a female protagonist, several routes and a spread of endings and epilogues, and who is happy to buy it once. It also fits someone who likes a harem-style structure told through a workplace story, and who wants animated scenes that can be replayed in a Memories room. Mac and Linux players are covered: Nutaku names both systems beside Windows.

There are caveats. The Steam edition needs a separate patch from the developer's site to become uncensored. The shop management is story framing, with decisions made through dialogue choices, so a player hoping for a business simulation gets a romance instead. English is the only language Nutaku lists for the game, and the cast is women only, which is the point of the game and also its limit.
